NEW RESIDENTIAL HOME
New Residential Home Permits
To build a new residential home in Farr West, submit the following documents via the online permit portal:
- One set of wet-stamped engineered building plans (PDF upload)
- A site plan
- RESCheck
- Structural calculations
- SWPPP documents — Common Plan SWPPP, NOI, and acknowledgment letter
- Water receipts from culinary water and secondary water
Review Process
Once all required documents are submitted, the application process begins:
- The building official reviews all building plans and documents.
- After that review completes, the SWPPP documents are reviewed and verified by the storm water manager.
- Once both reviews are complete, an invoice is emailed to the applicant.
- If revisions are necessary, an email will request additional information or documentation.
What to Know
- The building permit process takes on average 10–14 days.
- If an invoice has been sent, the permit application has been approved and is ready for payment.
- Once payment is processed, the permit is automatically opened and valid.
